Follow the step-by-step guide to find the MEP

•On the BlackBerry home screen type: ALT+Shift+H (For the 8100/9100, press ALT + R + A + C + E)


•You will come to the "Help Me!" screen (DO NOT EXIT THE SCREEN)


•Fill in the info shown on the phone into the calculator (Device PIN, App Version, Uptime, Key Duration - select 1 day). For the App Version, include all the numbers, dots, and brackets. For example 5.0.0.344 (541)
•The code will automatically populate
•Type this code CAREFULLY into the Help Me Screen on your phone (you will not be able to see what you're typing onscreen). Remember to press the ALT key for numbers.

•As soon as you've entered all 8 characters of the code you will see the 'Engineering Screen Contents' menu
•Scroll down to 'OS Engineering Screens' and select it
•Scroll to 'Device Info' and select it
•Scroll to the bottom and you will see the phone's MEP info
•Enter the MEP in the Verificaiton box, and submit

•Once downloaded, open the program
•Click Read phone
•Attach phone to computer via USB cable
•Voila ! Your MEP and IMEI will display
